Hope for the Mind is a faith-informed psychology podcast exploring the human mind through both psychological insight and biblical truth—without shallow answers, stigma, or reductionist labels.
Through real conversations, thoughtful analysis, and occasional interviews with therapists, counselors, and individuals sharing their lived experiences, the podcast examines topics such as trauma, mental health, neurodiversity, addiction, abuse, identity, and suffering. ADHD Without the Hyper explores the side of ADHD that often goes unseen. In this episode, Kristin shares her personal experience with inattentive ADHD—from being diagnosed at 16 after struggling with algebra despite knowing the material, to navigating adulthood with difficulty finishing tasks, spacing out, and needing support like body doubling. Blending lived experience with psychological insight, this episode breaks down the different ADHD presentations, why schools and systems often miss inattentive ADHD, and how symptoms change from childhood to adulthood. Most importantly, it invites listeners to approach themselves and others with greater compassion, curiosity, and understanding—because not every struggle is loud, and not every brain works the same way.
